Covid : l have Covid at the moment, had it about a week... - NRAS
Covid
Currently have it also. Been almost a week. I had headache, then sneezing. That's about it this time around. The dry mouth and throat also. Sucks. I just push the water and get some sleep. It's seemed to do me ok
I had covid last week. Same symptoms . Really dry mouth etc and cough. Has left me with a chest infection though.
Sorry about your chest infection, are u taking anything for it, were u offered antivirals? Thanks for reply, l think there’s quite a lot of people now with Covid first time I ve had it, Kate x
Had covid now for ten days. Symptoms lingering. Such a bad cough which I do have anti biotics for but they said only take if desperate! No anti virals. Had the whole spectrum of symptoms with chills, shivers etc & yes, a very dry mouth. No taste, no smell. Second time with it...first time was much easier. Been really poorly this time. Just a case of riding it out I guess, but it's horrid. Rest of family have it too...daughter very ill like me, but husband just a cough and cold...lucky him! Get well soon...rest & take plenty of vitamin D if you can. x J x
Yes, I am in my third week of covid. I tested negative after only 4 days but I am still quite ill. I had a sore throat and dry mouth at the start and It affected my eyes too. I still have awful congestion in my head and chest with a bad cough and I feel very weak. Last time was nothing in comparison. I think I might have a chest infection as it’s just not getting better . I had antivirals in the beginning but admit I stopped taking them as soon as I went negative as they made me feel sick.. honestly, I’ve never felt so ill. I stopped the methotrexate injections for 2 weeks but I think I really have to restart them as the RA will begin to get much worse. Funnily enough the RA has been very quiet so far,
My niece has this doc told her to suck crushed ice it has helped ❄️🥶get well soon 🌈
I’ve been suffering for 10days with chest infection and sinusitis. Negative COVID.Dr prescribed antibiotics with one day left to take. Cough has eased but not gone , it’s my throat that’s the worst feels like broken glass and mouth very dry especially at night. This is infection is the worst thing I’ve experienced and it’s lingering with fatigue. Have stopped my methotrexate won’t start till I’m clear. Hopefully by Christmas I’ll feel like eating and socialising 🤞🏻
To everyone who’s suffering hope you all get well soon and have a happy Christmas 🎄❤️
Have you tried a sea salt mouth rinse for gums? Usually helps. Hooe you feel better soon.
I had Covid at the beginning of October. It was the inflamed gums that really hurt and lasted a good couple of weeks. It hurt to clean my teeth and eat, I actually didn't realize it was due to Covid at first. I never returned to the toothpaste I had used previously. I was sick but didn't cough much. Had an infusion and didn't really feel ill. My skin was itchy and very red from the infusion. I didn't test negative until a fortnight after testing positive.
My husband had Covid at the same time, he had completely different symptoms - a different strain I guess. Take Care.
When I had end of December sore throat in fact seemed like oral thrush so used thrush gel for this, also sinuses blocked like a heavy cold Concur with drink loads of water and rest/sleep. Like you everything tasted grim, then no taste or smell for few weeks. Over it now though last evening heard recent symptoms include migraines which interestingly I had last week.
Speedy recovery.
I've had a real problems with sore inflamed gums, didn't associate with Covid but it was so painful that even fizzy water was painful. I used salt water mouthwash which did help but it took a few days.
