Well everyone all the decorations are up and we are more or less ready for the big day.
I didn't sleep well last night as i had odd dreams. I wonder if it is because of the oramorph i took last night to ease the pain i was in. Have a lovely day everyone. xxxxx

Aw, that looks very festive Sylvi. Still no decs up here - Scrooge resisted the moans from daughter, but has agreed to them going up this Saturday. (I’d put them up myself but can’t get them down from the loft!!)
We can't put anything up really as still waiting to move after 9 months of waiting and solicitors only just talking about moving dates. I'll never move house again. When I think we actually found the property on 26th Feb this year.
Aw sorry to hear that Madme, there is a reason why moving house is listed as one of life’s most stressful events along with bereavement and divorce, but since covid it seems to be worse than ever! Hope you get sorted soon. Xx
The only way they will get me out of my house is in a coffin. In the first three years of our married life we moved five times and the last move into here i was seven months pregnant. xxxx
Wow Sylvi, five times in three years is a lot. Our last move was our most stressful - we were buying the house from a couple who were getting divorced and I don’t think the wife could mentally accept what was happening, so when we arrived with the van full of our stuff on moving day we discovered that she hadn’t even started packing up her house. We ended up paying our removal guys to get them to stay on to move her stuff, had to call on lots of friends and family to come lend a hand to pack her stuff. Think we got her out at about 9.30pm, then quickly put my daughters bed up (she was a toddler at the time) and put her to bed, then crashed on the living room floor!
Wow that was so bad on her to treat you like that when it wasn't your fault they got divorced. Thanks to Bob being in the Army he was able to call on his friends to help him move so we never had to pay for someone to move us. We didn't have much furniture either as we had furniture when we were in married quarters We helped both of our children move as well. Our son and his wife girlfriend to start with. We moved them three times in days when i could do more than i can do now. I did my bit despite my diseases.xxxxxxxx
We will do ours next week but had a weekend away at Guestling a village near Hastings and it was cold. 'bracing' said my husband ' No, I said b----y freezing" but it was a lovely break. Now for the washing but at least our house is smart as my cleaner came the morning and left it so lovely. Christmas has come too quick this year. lol xx
lovely sylvi, I hope you got help putting them up. Mine would have been up yesterday but spent the day at A& E with hubby. Will have them up by lunchtime today all being well. Best wishes x
It’s all looking very festive in Reynold’s Villa. Out daughter brought our 2 trees and all the decorations downstairs - we don’t a loft, but we have 3 floors and there was no way I could have done that! Tomorrow, hopefully, is the day that Christmas comes to our house.
As a starter here’s a photo of the lovely Bournville tree - not this years photo because we haven’t had snow - yet!
How lovely Sylvi 🥰. Hubby Garry and granddaughter Mabel did our tree on friday. She loves doing it so much that we actually have a mini tree that she decorates and then redecorates every time she comes. 😊 I usually decorate with her but with my spine and leg probs I couldn't this year. 😥😌 But they made a good job of it 😀
Thank you all for your lovely comments, but i cannot say i did much because i didn't My darling Bob did it mostly and when i did do something i only went and fell off the ladder. xxxx
