I have just read this article in the guardian, even though it is a very small sample of patients, the results sound very encouraging.

Sounds very promising Julie. Biological treatment dampens down these overactive cells currently but deciding which one to use for each patient is hit and miss and an expensive treatment. Some patients find it difficult to get their doctors to prescribe them. The treatment this article describes looks promising for other autoimmune disorders as well which would be marvellous. Thanks for posting.

Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention! I know we have to look on all research with caution and patience, but I couldn’t help getting a little teary reading about it. I’m surprised at myself; didn’t realize how much I wanted (want) to *not* have RA.

Yes I read that, pleased to see that they are able to pinpoint the gene. Gives us a little bit of hope for the future.
