I recently had Covid and was advised not to take Humira and Mtx until I tested negative, which was last Wednesday, so Thursday I took my Mtx injection and this Monday my Humira injection. Although I feel better in the day, I am really tired late afternoon and evening, the headaches have just started to improve each evening. I had an antiviral infusion on day 3 of testing positive for Covid. It was 10 days before I tested negative. Just all takes time. X
I recently had COVID. I was advised by my consultant to miss medication until I no longer had symptoms. Luckily after about a week I felt fine. Just had to call and speak to the nurse who said ok and only missed 1 week. Discuss with rheumatology to get best advice for you.
I still have symptoms after a week , this cough and lethargy 🙄 I’m doing another test later I can’t stick those things up my nose my husband does it for me ..I’m a wimp x
Get well soon. I had antiviral tablets, wish I'd got a drip and six weeks later still on steroids! Personally id wait till you over the covid, and are negative.
I know I can't get my biologic drip for 6 weeks post covid here .
It’s very individual so please get advice. I’m on Rituximab, leflunomide and sulphasalazine. I was told I only needed to stop medication for the 5 days I was on antivirals (and only because they weren’t 100% sure about drug interactions so decided it was better to be safe than sorry). My daughter who’s on adalimumab & leflunomide was told to miss her injection that week but carry on with leflunomide (she wasn’t eligible for antivirals). It very much depends on which medications and how well controlled your disease is. That’s why you need to get advice specific to you from your rheumatology team.
I didn’t let my doctor know I had it , I thought with me having the vaccine it wouldn’t last long . How wrong was I . My sister In law hasn’t had the vaccine she said it was like having a cold ….. I had & my family all had the vaccine . I felt like rubbish no energy , aches I haven’t witnessed since my weightlifting days and a cough that would outdo a 90 a day woodbine smoker 😵💫 …. And still feel slightly out of sorts over a week after xxx🥴
Gosh, I'm really sorry to hear how badly you have been affected. It seems to be different for everyone. Some people who I would have expected to have been hit really badly haven't and others who always seemed to be a s strong as an ox have had Long Covid. Glad that you are feeling better than you were and I hope it will clear up completely soon. Probably a bit late to say this...but take care. 🙂
Definitely contact your Rheumy team as everyone is so individual its best they give you advice tailored to your specific conditions. Get well soon

Can’t you call your rheumy nurse….I think it depends very much on how you have dealt with infections in the past.If you can’t get hold of anyone on your rheumy team….call 119…they can put you in touch with someone who. can advise you.
Yes i got a call back yesterday , I have to do another test see if I’m still testing positive if I am I have to wait til I’m negative to restart my meds x 😉
