I’m due my Cimzia injection, but I’ve been tested positive with COVID, and been quite poorly, should I still have my injection ?

I can't answer that for you jools but I wanted to say I'm sorry to hear that you have Covid and I hope it turns out to be a mild dose and that you recover quickly. All the best. xx

Sorry to hear this and hope you are soon on the mend and it’s a mild version. Can you leave a message on your rheumy helpline? Hopefully someone could reply quickly and let you know.

Hi Jools,I’ve had it and my advice is up your VitD intake for a couple of weeks, drink loads of water or herbal tea and eat light, easily digested foods... re meds my rheumy dept told me to stop my MTX for 2 weeks (it’s my only med) and I suspect your rheumy will look to reduce or stop your RA meds but do speak to them directly as they know best.

I hope it goes away for you pretty soon

All the best

So sorry that you have this horrible virus. Get better soon. It's only the doctors who will be able to tell you about Cinzia I'm afraid.

I’m sorry to hear you have covid. Hope it’s mild and you recover well.

To your question I suggest you to speak with your rheumatology specialist team but I would think no you shouldn’t take it.

My rheumatology nurses answer message says stop taking your biologic if you test positive for covid

When I had it, my dr said no meds until I was completely well. Best wishes to you.
