Started Benepali

Well just to let you all know I at last injected Benepali today after waiting about 10 weeks. I kept ringing my Ra nurse and she rang back today. I said I cannot wait any longer for the nurse to ring me can I just inject as it's not much different from the other injection. She said I could if and that she would have taken it too. I left Benepali out for an hour and it didn't hurt or sting. So I will see how I get on from now. I am in a lot of pain atm. I have a lot more swelling with having to wait so long. Well done for being assertive. It is too bad when we are treated as less than equal partners - we have to manage ourselves every day and are expert on ourselves, they see us infrequently but are good sources of expert knowledge generally.

Hi there, I left it out of the fridge for 1 and half hours and it seemed to do the trick and when I inject this week I am leaving it out over night. So I will let you know how I get on.

Fingers crossed it worked well on my RA but took a while to really kick in and caused a lot of UTI's so keep an eye on that and a drink as much water as you can. I've been using Abatercept since January and it also seems slow to work so patience is key. xxx

I had to come off benepali because of the pain and stinging after injecting. I have been prescribed a different injectable without the ingredients that cause the stinging. the only problem I have now is I have been waiting for a month to get a script and delivery.

Hi there, oh dear that is not good, hope you get your script very soon. The doctor's that make us wait don't realise how much pain we are all in with all this waiting around.
