Following on from my last post regarding no evidence of me having had a third dose
Here is the reply I eventually received from the Vaccination Service Contact Centre
Have any other group members had the same problem?
“Thank you for your email. I have left a voicemail explaining the current situation with regards to 3rd primary doses and Covid Passes.
Basically, the boosters are showing on Covid Passes but 3rd primary doses are not. This is an issue that we are aware of and so are the Government as it is them who are in charge of Covid Passes.
We are hoping for it to be rectified soon.”
Kind regards

Well at least you got an explanation!Imagine how many times that poor Contact Centre Assistant has had to send out that information…….even worse she personally can do nothing about it!
Hi AgedCrone and thanks for replying- yes they possibly are getting enquiries but as I haven’t heard anyone else mention the 3rd dose (in wales) not being available on the nhs digital pass I am beginning to feel as if I am being fobbed off and that in fact I am the only one ‘left out in the cold’
I know we are all trying our best to keep safe - but after being indoors / unable to travel for over 2 years even I am feeling down
I now have arranged to visit my son overseas at the end of March but fear I may be turned away by border control as my last certifiable vaccination on the digital pass was last May
I see that now Austria are only allowing travel if the ‘booster’ is available as a QR code and it’s likely that other countries will follow suit
If anyone has been in the same position and been able to rectify this issue please can you post some information
Have you thought of speaking to a travel agent?I know that sounds a bit off the wall…..but they have to deal with Qs like yours all the time…& they want your business…so they might have an answer.
In fact…..if your vaccine passport is not correct for where you are travelling to….. .the airline won’t board you. ..so you wouldn’t get as far as any border control.
Hi AgedCrone - sorry yes I meant airport rather than border control - that a good idea about contacting an agent I actually have my ‘booster’ booked for 29th February and as I am booked to travel on the 31st of March I am hoping that the booster will be loaded within a few days onto the digital gov pass - however I am also travelling to Abu Dhabi and must pre register for the flight on the ICA Smart Travel Service platform
Also now they are requesting that visitors apply for a “Green Pass” on the AlHosn App and we that needs to be pre arranged a good week before arrival
I know what you mean..I wanted to go away at Christmas.. but every time I checked “the rules” they had changed & having recently moved house the last thing I wanted was to get stranded overseas…so I gave up!!
I am also in Wales (Swansea Bay Health Authority)I have had both the third primary dose (in September) and my booster (December) but NEITHER are showing on my Covid Pass!
What is more I have been unable to find any contact telephone number/email address to query it!
Hi Intheend Each healthcare board or trust has their own concerns team
Tô find their details phone NHS 111 or 08454647 - I realise this is only an 8 digit number but I did try to ring it and there is a ring tone - but as I didn’t have a question ready to ask so I put my phone down very quickly- so do give it a try yourself
Also - anyone reading my post please can you let me know if you are also in the same situation regarding the nhs Covid pass
I had my 3rd Primary Dose on 11/11 and it is not showing on my Covid Pass (I haven't had my Booster yet). I checked the NHS website earlier today as we are having to move a trip to France from 19/1 to sometime in March.
However, my husband's booster (as in 2 jabs + booster) was on his Covid Pass. We are in Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB. It is so frustrating; another mini battle to contend with! Many thanks to pp for the info upthread - I will try making some calls this week to see about getting it registered on my Covid Pass.
I’m not ungrateful for having a 3rd dose but if the IT software on the gov wales nhs covid digital pass had been set up appropriately so many of us would not be so disappointed and feel left out
The worse part of it apart from the uncertainty and stress of any future travel plans or the possibility of being denied access to any social events - the fact remains ; but no one seems to be taking responsibility or action to correct the issue
I am in the same position in that my third booster was on October 31st and it is not on my covid app. I emailed Cardiff and the vale about it twice but have had no reply. We were due to travel to tenerife with the family just before Christmas but post phoned till April because I was the only one who didn't have an up to date covid pass. Even my 18 year grandson had his booster shown!I'm due to have my booster late Jan so I'm hoping my pass will be up dated then.
Hi - this situation is very frustrating as wherever I ring or email I am still going around in circles No body seems to know or how to directly contact the person/s in authority that can get us onto the system to validate a third primary dose .
I can’t give up but if there Is anyone out there that can advise I’d be very grateful and so would a lot of us as this situation will not be resolved unless enough of us start asking questions and most are not focusing on overseas travel - but soon a lot will be
I’m not sure if this problem only relates to Wales -
Had anyone in Wales had a third doses uploaded onto the gov wales digital covid pass yet ?
My Covid pass doesn't show my third jab. When I've phoned they can't do anything about it. Due my booster this month. It will be a year since I had my 2nd jab in April. After that I won't be able to go anywhere unless they start to show the latest jabs. There must be a number of us in the same position. My son lives abroad and they stipulate that the 2nd jab must not be over a year since you had it. Anyone else with same problems?
Hi ABwn . I’m not certain but this may only be a problem in Wales . I’ve not seen any queries from our English , Scottish or other area members But I think if we don’t start knocking on doors the situation will remain as it is and nothing will be resolved
I'm under Cardiff & Vale, had my 3rd primary on 04/11 but under vaccination details only showing the ones I had in February & April last year however, I can still access the covid pass with the qr code. I asked at the surgery & they say my third dose has been recorded, due my booster I guess 04/02 but going to give it a couple of weeks to see if they contact me before I chase it up.
Hi Garnacha - yes it will be recorded on the WIS (Welsh Immunisation System) but nothing seems to have been transferred to the Welsh Gov digital covid pass system I am frustrated and confused why we have been left out
Hi, I noticed last night that they've now put contact details to let them know if you're vaccine hasn't been recorded or is missing information. Mine is still only showing the first 2, I've got my granddaughter today but will email them tomorrow, hopefully someone will get back in touch
Hi Llanberisman . There are probably a lot more of us but not everyone has actually gone ahead and registered for the wales nhs gov digital covid pass or if they have they haven’t got round to check if they have even had the 3rd primary dose added Probably that’s because the first two doses and their digital QR codes were successfully uploaded . Unfortunately for a lot of us the upload for the 3rd dose doesn’t seem to be happening in the near future
I mentioned the missing 3rd jab record on a Public Health Wales Facebook page…only response so far was someone who said that his jab HAD been recorded. The plot thickens!
