I've decided to go for the 'booster'

I posted a while ago when I was struggling to get my 3rd vaccine and have been chasing it up ever since.

However, I want to go on holiday in March/April and judging from my experience of the admin involved when travelling abroad a few weeks ago I've decided that I'm having a 'booster'

The logic for this is that I may very well be asked to prove that I've had both vacs and a booster to enable me to travel and I dont much fancy my chances of explaining in French or Spanish what the difference is between 3rd vac and a booster!

I'll sort out my 4th jab next summer.

I think that may be the right way to go tbh. It was unfortunate timing that the 3rd vaccine - that they now say can be given 8 weeks after the 2nd- was approved for the CEV at the same time as the booster was rolled out.🤨 causing such confusion.As you say, best to protect yourself now and sort the ‘3rd vaccine’ out later.

The "3rd dose" vaccine and the booster dose vaccine are exactly the same, it's just that you will get called in 6months time to receive a 4th booster jab which I'll be getting around the 20th of May.

Ah ok. Is that why my rheumatologist told me to tell the nurse when I get it to endure they classify my 3rd as a "top up"?
