My cough has lasted four weeks and counting. After various blood tests it’s not covid but a nasty bacterial pneumonia caused because I have locked myself away so much……
Now on huge horse pill antibiotics and starting to improve. So if you get a cough- make sure you don’t get carried off 🤗

I had a oxiclav once.The Dr said it was like Dettolb!
Is co-amoxiclav you've been prescribed & is that it pictured? Only asking because I thought they were tablets & weren't made in capsule form.
The capsule was the original doxycycline that made me very sick🤢

I was concerned with you saying you're cutting them in half, not usually a problem with tablets apart from potential slight tum issue due to an uncoated edge where you cut them in half on enteric coated ones? In general capsules should be taken whole & I thought the pic was the antibiotic you're taking now. Glad this isn’t the case.

That’s the same for Doxycyline capsule antibiotics. You have to remain upright for an hour after them. I’m on and off these pretty much every other month. Hope your abx work for you. 🙏🏻

Yes my grandma used to sing that song. Sorry you have developed pneumonia but hope those horse pills do the trick and you feel much better soon. (Of course, if you've been coughing like a horse you need the horse pills! 😜😂)

I hope you soon start to feel better. I know what you mean about being locked away. I am still shielding pretty much and have wondered about the lack of immunity against other winter types of infections. I suppose it is getting the right balance but very difficult.
Doc said because I have been on immune suppressant drugs and shut away I have not had the little bugs we get in general to boost up our bodies so I will go down like a lead balloon. Nice!
This is the trouble. We want to protect ourselves but we need to be out and about to build up immunity. Between a rock and a hard place. All the best

Hope things improve & you don’t get carried off anywhere 🤣 Interestingly my daughter started with a dreadful cough at the beginning of September & it hasn’t stopped although improving. She did lots of Covid tests & all were negative. Her GP has put it on her record as a Covid type illness! Whatever that means. She has been very unwell though. Apparently lots going around. You’re right: they’re massive. What helped a bit for me was having a drink of water before I tried to flush them down with more, sort of lubricates the way. X

Sure do! ☺️ Made me feel sick too, cut in half like you in the end but had the solid tabs not capsules, who designs these things eh? Tbh I was more worried about flaring without meds but this time fine whereas last I could barely walk. Weird old disease, totally unpredictable. Hope yr ok now 👍
