I am going to change my tea and coffee to decaf and have changed my diet so I don’t cause anymore irritation. I guess since I have been on medication for RA since 1987 my stomach has suffered. I have been told the Peptac is really good for helping so I will look to see if I can get some . Onwards and upwards . Stay safe everyone and have a good weekend . 🤗🤗🤗

Let us know how it goes? I had to also change to lactose free milk , which did help me x

Morning. I take Omeprazole 20mg daily to help with gastric issues.

Also… if you are taking Diclofenac or Naproxen they are notorious. Ask your GP to start you on something else after your tummy clears up. I stopped taking both these a year or two ago and have had no probs since.

BTW. The worst thing for tummies is artificial sweeteners used in ‘sugar free’ stuff..

Thank you. I don’t take naproxen anymore. Just on Toxilimab and methotrexate. I only take paracetamol on top of that. I find the methotrexate doesn’t help. I hate it but know it’s a need. I’m taking them with meals now to see if they can be absorbed that way without causing upset. I didn’t know artificial sweetener is bad for your stomach.i have that on weetabix in the morning. Maybe I’ll try honey instead. I’m taking lansoprazol now 👍🤗

That will help. I take all my tablets with meals. Bfast & tea. With Mx I make sure it’s a ‘proper’ meal, not just a snack.

I have a normal tea first thing in the morning but through out the day have decaf, and I have cut out Sugar

I hope your tummy feels better real soon.

Thanks Hun. I am drinking decaf tea and coffee now. I don’t feel too bad.hopefully it’ll sort itself out as long as I am careful when and what I eat .

Have you tried peppermint tea? I find that helps settle my tummy. It can also help to keep a food diary for a few weeks to see if other foods are upsetting you.

I tried to switch to decaf coffee but found it caused my RA to flare…. I know everyone is different but just something to look out for ( sweeteners also do this to me)
