This morning I did my first bike ride in a year, I was really dreading it as I thought I would be terrible, stopping all the time. Well it went brilliantly, I didn't even build up a sweat! I was biking as fast as I could, but no sweat unlike my partner who was a wreck. I did stop a few times for him. I then came home and a hour later went for a 3 1/2 walk. By the time I came back I felt like I had hit a brick wall! Fatigue, no strength left in my arms, exhausted! My fingers are in agony, my shoulders, elbows and wrists. Even my back is in agony and my legs. I am now stretched out on the sofa unable to move. I think I have over done it is an understatement!
I have been walking 3 or 4 times a week between 3 or 5 miles and I am enjoying it. But I think maybe a lot cautious now. I am still on my keto diet.
Thanks for listening. Take care.

Great news about the bike ride I am hoping to try and get back on mine this weekend for a short ride. However you should have stopped after the bike ride. Probably on a high after completing the cycle and common sense went out the window! So rest and recovery time, 😜🥰🤣
Hi CarolsosI’m prepping my bike this weekend in order to start going out again. Like you I’m feeling quite apprehensive so your post has given me the strength to carry on and get on with it. I just won’t do a long walk after my bike ride!!
No, because you are not silly like me!😂 It knocked me for 6. I was in bed for 9pm and fast asleep and slept for 12 hours! Omg so much sleep! Good news about getting your bike out. I am going on a ride tomorrow as I am a bit stiff today. But I will be ok tomorrow. Good luck. Take care.
Well done Carolsos! I went on my first bike ride for a year yesterday. I only went a short way, I need to build up very gradually, but it was a wonderful feeling!
