Telephone appointment
I hope it all goes well for you Mumcon, eighteen months is a long time to wait. 🤞 x
Hope it's a really useful appointment - 18 months is far too long 😢 I've found phone appointments are fine but good that you've got a list. Any chance that you could record the conversation so that you don't need to take notes? I'd be crossing out each question as it's dealt with so that there's no chance of forgetting anything. 😉
Heck! I don't see why it should have been quite so long. It would be interesting to hear their reasons for such a long time between contact. Anyway you've done right noting questions. Hopefully they'll all be answered adequately.
My face to face was due last November but cancelled due to COVID x
fingers crossed for you. My last appointment was a disaster. Best advice I can give is to speak 😁 I didn't and she didn't say much either and it was all a waste of time. I'm not sure it would have made much of a difference but I could have been more assertive about actually being examined. Hope it goes well. Where are you with treatment?
Hope it went well and you've got a good plan in place 🤞
I have had several telephone consultations recently. The first did not go well and I felt really annoyed afterwards as I did not feel I had been given an opportunity to speak. I have now learnt to just speak over the other person if I need to say something.
It seems rude to me, but it does make the health professional stop and actually listen to what I have to say, rather than just telling me what they have already decided should be the next step.
any news?
Good luck. Make sure you get to tell them all you need to. If you have time take photos too so you can send them over.
How did the appointment go?
Hi and thanks for asking The appointment went well It was my actual consultant who phoned me right on the dot He is going to arrange for me to get a bursa injection in my right thigh ASAP also to see orthopaedic surgeon to see if anything can be done about my thumb and fingers also to see about my right knee He asked if I wanted to up my Amytripline from 40mg to more but I feel that I’m taking enough pills as it is so I’ll plod on for now and I have to get a lupus blood test as I’ve been getting an awful rash on my arms for well over a year but it is getting more frequent and it’s starting to worry me also to show rash to my own GP All in all I feel better for speaking to him I have great faith in him and I know he will do all he can to help . Thank you once again for asking Take careJanice xx
That's good - hopefully it won't be too long before you speak to him again.Good luck with all the other consultations 🍀
