Just got back from Morrisons, last week for the first time shopping in 5 months i wore a mask. I know hospital told me i don't have to wear one but gave it a go, Did not get on well at all, this week i wore a shield along with my daisy lanyard, what a difference, no sweating, panicking or irritation.

You are brave going out!

Well done for that. A lot of us are still very nervous you have done well 😉

We should all get out & get some warmth in our bones before the winter sets in...we need all the Vit D we can get.

If you keep your wits about you - can self distance quite easily as shops aren’t as busy as they used to be.

Don’t let this wretched virus spoil your enjoyment of life......we have hidden away for long enough, & there is a long winter to look forward to.....staying indoors too long is not good for the psyche.... ..& if we don’t get out now it will be ten times harder next Spring - because being realistic, things aren’t going to change much any time soon.

You are quite right. Went out yesterday for the first time in five months for Richie Sunak two snacks at our local pub. Almost felt human again but in a hot sweat getting to the car to begin with.

Take care and don’t spend too much on that shopping. ☺️

You have broken your duck now...keep getting out in the sunshine....& enjoying the discounts.

I am getting back into the way of cooking ....I am tired of eating up the frozen ready meals I hoarded ..so I pop out to the farm shop....& come home with enough veg to feed an army....most of which ends up in my “bottom of the fridge soup“.....I tell myself I’m preparing for winter,

Next thing I’ll be making bread....when there are perfectly acceptable loaves at the farm shop!!

Your bread will taste better

I doubt it.....whenever I made it in the past....it would have made a great doorstop.

Think I’ll stick to date & walnut cake...I just need to remember to soak the dates!

The first times the hardest and it gets easier each time you go. Nice to be able to get treats for yourself, well done 😊

I was in morrisons yesterday as well, first time for me, it was an experience but not as scary as going on the train, I was going to visit my daughter and I must say I was shocked. The train is usually quiet just after nine o’clock but this train was quite busy. I counted seven young people coming on without masks, what gives them the right to break the law like this. Doesn’t seem to be any ticket inspectors on the train and they all got off before they reached the main station as you need a ticket to get through. I felt they were making a fool out of the people that were wearing a mask, two came on with there bikes making gestures at us for wearing our masks. They were all 25years or under and I can’t see all of them having an underlying health problem. Very disappointed as I have stuck to my shielding rules for months, this certainly doesn’t happen on the buses I’ve been on. Will be avoiding the trains now.

Very disappointing that young people are behaving like this but unfortunately this is a symptom of the society that we live in today. Guess you’ll have to travel by bus to avoid these self centred, thoughtless types. Every sympathy with your position. Keep safe in your own life and remember that there are caring people out there.
