Wishbone : Hi all has anyone heard anything from... - NRAS
Wishbone
I'm sure he was on earlier Sian, just having a look xx
Hello.
😀😃 Nice to know you are out there, and that others notice the absence.
Ah here you are! Your now grounded for a week Wishbone. You went AWOL and left us worried. 🥰
Haha, does that mean I'll have to do an extra week when my self isolation eventually ends?
An extra week! Also you must clock in and out because you ARE missed when you go AWOL.🤣
Go easy on me Suzie please, I'm just a fragile little chap and I promise not to go AWOL again.....honest!
Ok then but we are watching you!
😉👀👀👀🤣
It was Nessa who raised the concern, very thoughtful of her x
Very thoughtful of Nessa and I did thank her in my reply. I may be a rough tough Welshman, but these things don't go unoticed. Surprised you chimed in though Suzie! Nah, just kidding I guessed you had a soft spot for me!...Haha I jest again of course!......
Sorry for the delay, I meant to reply soon after my daft "Hello" post but my laptop froze, which has been happening almost on a daily basis this past week or so....plus I'm slow typing.
Anyway, thanks for asking Nessa. I'm doing ok. No symptoms for the past two days so am hoping I caught the UTI early and the antibiotics will clear it...I have about 2 days left. RA is beginning to get worse so I need to get back on baricitinib pretty soon. It's good that baricitinib leaves the body in a couple of days if someone picks up an infection, but the downside is that my RA starts to flare quicker too. The same happened the last time I stopped taking it.
Nice to know you are ok, I hope your able to get back onto your medication quickly before the RA gets any worse. 😁
Thanks Stowe, the problem I've had with past UTIs is repeated courses of antibiotics would only subdue the infection, that's if they worked at all, then a couple of days later it would flare up again. That said, I was going through a prolonged rough patch back then and recovering from a couple of serious infections among other health issues. Can't recall trying this particular antibiotic before either so here's hoping.........................
Keeping our fingers crossed for you wishbone that these antibiotics do the trick.
I really hope that these Antibiotics start working for you, it is awful whe your not feeling well, especially with all this going on. Keep safe.
Thanks Stowe, I'm not feeling too bad and will be going back on baricitinb tomorrow, which starts to work within a few days, at least that's been the case every time I've stopped taking in the past.
You keep safe too.
You been missing again Wishy?! They'll be putting you on a leash. 🤠
haha They can try!
I have been posting but am running out of things to rant about, so not as much as I was.
I spoke to him on another thread to check if he was behaving! 🤪 Not entirely sure about that one 😆 but glad to know he’s feeling better. x
You did indeed. Think I mentioned that I'm improving. I'm a good boy too so don't you be so cheeky.
Yes and I’m very glad to hear that as you don’t want to be too long without your RA med. Hope you can be back on that very soon. Been watching The Avengers box set this evening and I’ve been bad and had one of Mr Kitty’s Toffee Crisps! 😸
Naughty! Is that the Marvel Avengers film box set or the 60s TV series with the gorgeous Emma Peel?
It is indeed the box set with gorgeous Emma Peel and handsome John Steed. My auntie’s husband danced with Diana Rigg at the Mecca ballroom in Leeds before they met many years ago in the late 50s. (DR is a Yorkshire girl from Doncaster! Auntie is a Yorkshire girl from Leeds .. also was leggy, tall and brunette!)
I know you are good .. apart from burning all your wife’s clothes when she’s been gardening !! (Joke!)
I’m so paranoid tonight does everyone feel terrified or am I loosing the plot 🌸
We’re all wobbling lovely just at different times and in different ways . Deep breath look at all your blessings and count the wonders you have . Focus on what you can control and only that . Wishing you all a better nights sleep god bless all 🤗🌷x
It comes over in waves the fear , thank you for replying 🌸
Always here just shout . Try not to overthink . Put on a radio 4 drama turn off the lights and tune in .🤞
I had a wobble the other week when my GP told me straight that I must not go out and not for the short term, it really hit home then. Still no letter but I take my GP's advice seriously. The only thing is to live in the moment and try not to think to far ahead. I only listen to the news once a day for an update and try to blot out the scaremongering and speculation. It's lovely that we are all here supporting each other, so take care and sending my best wishes to you x
Some good advice Nessa, take care x
I was really stressed for a while, which could be how I got this UTI after 3 + years without one. Getting into a routine taking precautions has given me a sense of control, and not watching the news as much as I was has also helped.
That is what I've been doing this past week as I was getting both stressed and a little depressed with what I was hearing. Plus much of it is the same thing repeated over and over..........................
