Well done you! I have two deaf sisters and they are both using simple signs to greet and converse with their hearing friends and neighbours of all ages at the appropriate distance. My brother in law made a lovely little video of this and posted it on his FB page yesterday. 😊

I can sign the alphabet also some basic makaton I had a Downs child at school for years it was how we communicated until he could speak.

Good for you, hope you get on well. One of my nephews is almost completely deaf but can still hear with hearing aid (although the level of hearing is deteriorating) and niece, but niece is completely deaf. She and her husband (who is also completely deaf) have two children and both have normal hearing.
