First day of hubby working from 🤯it’s not going to be easy 🙄 he’s working in the kitchen. I put the kettle on... not now he say gotta make a phone call 2 hours later still on the phone.don’t put the washing machine on gotta conference call. Can you turn the telly down in the other room ( its not loud)now this one is the last straw . Can you cough quietly people are unduly worried because they hear you when he’s on the phone. 🙄🙄SAVE ME!!

Perhaps time for that extension/ annex to be built :-) Boris didn't say it was going to cause havoc for other family members when working from home did he!

Your post made me laugh, thank you.

Someone I spoke to this morning said they are already predicting an increase in the divorce rate with all this working from home! If they close the schools at the end of the week, it might end up in an increase in the adoption rate also ( only joking .......but ask me again in 6 weeks!).

Oh bless I am on day 3 with my hubby, but luckily we a spare bedroom that is set up as an office, as sometimes he has to work from home. Glad his company have taken this decision, as he travels round the UK and parts of the world, and stays at hotels and I was worried about his safekeep in hotels. At the moment I am just using screening ie asking people who come in to wash hands, and then I clean/spray the back door handles and the gate handle on on our gate,

I’ve never been so clean... I could never be OCD 🤪

I’ve just started working from home - I do it occasionally any way, but doing it for extended period migh drive me doolally! OH is at work (in his own office), but that may change in next couple of days, then he’ll be home too! We’ll have to arm wrestle to see who gets to work where lol! On the up side, we’ve had a leaflet thru our door (live in a very small village), offering help if/where it’s needed 😊😊

I’ve already asked my husband why he can’t work in his office as he will be the only person in the building. He said he’s going to on Friday so I asked “why not tomorrow? “ HE TALKS SO LOUD, I HAVE TO BE SO QUIET !

What about setting up a working station in a bedroom? He needs a separate room where the rest of the family can keep out and be quiet. The kitchen is definitely the hub of a family space and needs to be available for all.

in reply tooldtimer

I know but the best connection for his works network is the kitchen if he loses it he won’t get back on as so many are working from home🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I can’t win
