Has anyone tried the pain gone TENS pen? I’ve seen them advertised with great reviews and I wonder how much is advertising and how much is genuine.

If the TENS machine worked for you then, so may the pen. I found that neither worked for me.

Hi! I bought a Pain Gone pen years ago. I’ve had some relief with thumb pain. My husband uses it on his right thumb & it’s worked for him too. It amazes me how long it’s lasted. Nic xx

Hi I found that it did not work for me but it might for you x

I’m afraid it’s trial and error worked on my knuckle but not my ankle 😞

I found a TENS pen was so stiff my fingers weren’t strong enough to click it.

But that was a long time ago maybe they have improved by now.

I bought one years ago but I didn’t work on any painful areas at all. A tens machine used to help but doesn’t now.

I found it ok for muscular pain but not really rheumatoid issues especially big joints like knees shoulders wrists or ankles. Tens does help me though so I bought a wireless one from Lloyd’s pharmacy. Hope this is helpful ((hugs)) M x

Haven’t tried the pen but I tried a tens machine years ago on lower back pain. I still had the lower back pain plus the annoying twitches from the tens machine so I decided it wasn’t for me.

Saying that my husband used one a couple of years ago while he was waiting for a hip replacement and found it useful. I think whether or not these things work must be a matter of luck - and depend on the cause of your pain..

I have and found it useless. It essentially sends a quick shock to the part of you that you touch it to. Bit like pinching your hand to distract yourself. Not worth the money if you ask me.

My husband and I both had one. He found it helped a bit, mine made the pain worse. A neighbour had one which helped the OA in her hands a lot.
