I got back to work today after a half day yesterday and I was struggling, my boss called and said do you want a chat over a flat white. So we did, with a gust of wind in my hair., looking over the fens and a coffee in my hand.He looked at me and said' you are up to date, I am here today, its time for you to go home and rest' I went to answer and he said ' go home you have done more than your fair share of work plans and ideas go home'
So I went home. When I got home I realised how much I needd to be here. I am pooped.
You are extremely lucky to have such a good understanding boss. Unfortunately mine is the opposite. Take the opportunity to rest over the weekend and maybe next week will be a better week for you 😊
I’m the same as Pinkypie my boss just tuts if I’m limping and doesn’t talk to me when I have time off as if I did to just personally piss her off. Now when I’m under the weather I just don’t go in as with my old boss I would force myself. Never has my boss asked how I’m doing or you look like your struggling thanks for coming in.
Really nice when you have a good boss. Relax and eat cake I say, that’s what I did, I am going to pay the price I know when I wake up sore and stiff. I just didn't give a toffee today. It was gluten free if that helps.
Sounds like you have had a trying week. Enjoy your weekend 😌.
Yes a weekend of doing what I want in my RA world and being kind to me. Plus organising my oldies as they are still 21 in their heads but COPD for one of them means they need to start planning things a bit more!
Like me do as your told and rest until you feel brighter darling. I am curios what part of the fens do you live in darling as I was born in Ely and I know that part of the fens well.xxx
I work at Welney moved to be closer to family who have started to move this way from London and Watford. Welney lovely and we get some fantastic fudge from teh Ely Fudge co there. Gin & elderflower, Baileys and Pimms etc.
Yes I do so I have best of both worlds. As newly diagnosed we are going with the flow and I am trying to be AT work rather than home at the moment though driving does exhaust me as nearly an hours hard drive on country roads,
That's good. Driving not so much. I had almost 2 years out of my business. I'd like to think I was still working but wasn't really. Thankfully, biologics have got me back on track! Hope it all goes well for you
That sounds like one amazing boss. You’re very lucky 😊
I retired early from NHS. They were not very understanding even though their logo says we care. It makes a lovely change for someone to say they have a good manager. Do rest and hope you feel better soon. X
