Profound exhaustion just starting Cimzia; does it go away?

I have never felt so tired in my life, and that's saying something, since I've always been tired for as long as I can remember. Just started Cimzia about 4 weeks ago (have had two loading doses of 400 mls each) and all I want to do is sleep. Feels like an effort just to raise an arm. Has anyone had this experience with Cimzia, and does this kind of exhaustion go away? Also, persistent sore throat. Went to both GP and RA docs, my white cell count is fine, but I'm baffled by this extreme exhaustion. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

That's true darling.xxx

I've been on Cimzia for 7 months ( just stopped it ) and I had very bad fatigue, hair loss, and constant sinus trouble. To be honest it did nothing for my RD mabey made it worse as I also had constant inflammation of my hands.

I'm still looking for the holy grail! till then it's back on the steroids till my rhumatology doc scratches his head 🤔🤔and comes up with something else. Hope your feeling better soon 🤗 X

Thanks AngelMar,

It's good to know that others experienced this kind of stuff too. Maybe Cimzia just isn't the right one. I'll try it for a bit longer, see what happens.

Hi I was on cimzia , I took myself off this medication I had two bouts of chest infections followed by sepsis , I saw my rheumatologist who said he doubts it was cimzia ,felt so much better after never again .

Thanks Thewhim; I've definitely thought of just stopping it and going back on Sulfa alone. I'll take the last 400 mg loading dose, I guess, and then see if the smaller 200 mg dosages after that are any less horrible.
