Hello, I was suppose to have Pip assessment on Mon 6 at 9.15,10 45 I phoned Capita, they could not get hold of Assessor.Phoned today and the same lame excuse, could not find my house,as on 26 June.I gave details of my house down to the colour of front gate. This time I gave full directions from 3 different directions and suggested I get a phone call before hand. The way DWP are handling this must be costing a fortune. These Assessors get paid £30,000 a year I expect a better service than this.Well I am not worrying anymore it will only make my RA worse. My MP will be getting full details on completion.

If I'm understanding correctly this is the third time you've had a no show to your home from a PIP assessor? You don't need me to say it's just not on, not helped by the fact you only have a house name not number & satnav address input doesn't don't take them to your door. The obvious suggestion is to not have the assessment at your home but have it an assessment centre, if you have mobility difficulties though that may not be an option.

Something we did when we lived in Spain... when we first bought the house we didn't have a road name so whenever we had any builders, telephone engineers etc due we made a sign with (for example) "Telefonica - house is third on the left" & placed it at the top of the road, in our case tied to a 'corner in the road' sign immediately before our road. Just a thought if it ensures you'll actually eventually have your assessment?!

Oh flip, that's almost unbelievable but you have my sympathy. Not PIP but ordinary deliveries as our house only has a name (and never had a number) on an unmade road, no sat nav can find us and this despite a large house name sign on both the bungalow and on the front gate and at the start of the road. Delivery men used to ring and we would have to guide them in. You're right, there's no point fretting but, oh, the frustration! I sincerely hope you get this sorted soon. As you said yourself, worrying does you no good at all. Hugs

Send them a photo and/or ask them to pass your phone no. on to the assessor who can then call you to find your house.

Keep a record of all the ways you have tried to help the assessor find your address, allow the to make a third attempt, but in any event then make a formal complaint in writing both to Capita and the DWP.

Unbelievable incompetence! I live in a new build which doesn’t always come up in satnavs, added to which the layout is a bit confusing. So I routinely get calls from delivery drivers or anyone coming to my house for the first time so that I can guide them to the right place. It beggars belief that in this day and age of mobile phones, the assessors can’t manage that simple thing! I would be making a formal complaint!

I am of an age that I can still recall the late Margaret thatcher saying she wanted a return to Victorian Values. Well the Conservatives have certainly acheived that. They are making sure the most deprived and desperately ill people are treated like lepers in thier own country by the very people that were elected into office to help them.

I have witnessed first hand for over a decade the misery and hardship the Conservative party policies have inflicted on those unable to fight back and I can say without hesitation that short of wearing Swastika armbands and placing the elderly, the disabled and the people with mental health problems into a gas chamber the Conservatives have been directly and indirectly responsible for the premature deaths of more people in plain sight that any other political movement in our countries history.

PIP is automatically refused at the 1st stage and the 2nd stage in order to force people to be humiliated in front of a panel and made to beg for scraps as if their dignity had not suffered enough already.

I was told I have no option but to go to assessment. It is at 10.30am.
