My GP called as I had a blood test today and asked the phlebotomist while I was at the local surgery and her trainee nurse to document my skin peel. When I walked I her little room she could see that my teeth where chattering and has broken out in a cold sweat. I did not notice before but have bruising on my inner thighs and around the groin. Feel as though I have been kicked there, pins and needles in my boy bits and want to claw myself where I itch. My voice has a sore throat sound and the kennel cough keeps coming and going..
I have to keep fighting to stop myself drifting off but it could be from the lack of sleep last night.
Have been told to stop the methotrexate as I have what appears to be an allergic reaction.
Now what will rheumatology do. Does anyone have any ideas??
Not really, no. Most likely they will just stop the MTX and look at the next weapon in their arsenal to try to help you... I would call STAT though..

Back to the doctors this morning after the nurses noticed that I was not looking too good and my skin shedding is getting worse. I made sure that they documented so that my GP has to act now. So annoying as I have to get into a taxi now at 08:20 for an appointment at 10:20 as there are no busses and a taxi is 35 pounds each way

Oh wow - That really is frustrating... We complain here about parking, but most of us have cars, so that is a lot easier. Best luck in getting your GPs attention.. Wow - 70 pounds is a lot of money..

The GP has asked me to stay on methotrexate and increase the folic acid.

Best luck and gentle hugs with that. The folic will help control the nausea..
