Had to stop secukinumab150mg biologics
Hi Amy yes it is annoying as people don't know how you are feeling in the body as people like us try to keep their chins up and even though I am in a lot of pain. Due to start this med next week unless the Biologics Nurse thinks I need a different one. This is my first appointment with her do they start the treatment straight away that day. Good Luck
Hi karenpenn yes we do try and keep are our chip.as far as I know when u c the nurse she does urine test etc if all is ok u start biologics .it's slightly different in n.ireland we attend day word in hospital and c my rheaumtoglist he then decides which treatment then nurse does demo with u how to inject .when ur injection ready nurse will hide u .then u have to wait an hour in case u have a reaction .good luck x amy
It is really annoying when you are feeling awful and someone says 'You look well' . My reply is usually something along the lines of 'Isn't treatment wonderful!' or 'You can't see how I'm feeling inside!'
And if someone asks me how I am, I reply 'As well as can be expected', rather than saying the lie 'I'm fine, how are you?'
But keep on fighting and socialising even when it's difficult. It helps how you feel to get out and about.
There a lot of weird people out there and they live amongst us. I haven't told many people about my RD and some reactions have made me boggle. My "favourite" was the supposedly intelligent person who asked me which I would choose, osteo or rheumatoid. What?!!! Your nurse had it right. Great big gentle hugs
