I am and they have been a wonder drug for me. I have erosive RD and was put on Humira 12 years ago. The injection is only once a fortnight and easy to do. Good luck with what you choose. X

Best decision I ever made was to agree to take a Biologic drug.

I could not function without my biologic drug and it has given me back my independence. Hope you can get started on one soon and that it works just as well for you.

I was very reluctant to have an infusion and also biologics in general but there wasn’t much choice as I was immobile and in pain and RA was out of control. Biologic infusions changed all that and made so much improvement. I hope they will for you. Hope the general steroid brings much relief and tides you over.

Hi essexgirl (whereabouts? I’m married to an Essex boy 😁 from Upminster).

I started biologic injections about 4 months ago (Amjevita fortnightly) and after spending the last 3 years since diagnosis of trying different treatments with limited success ... these have now made a huge difference and have given me back my life. I don’t look forward to the weekly methotrexate injection which stings and makes me feel nautious... but I don’t get any reaction to the Amgevita at all. Happy to keep on injecting to feel this good 👍 Hope you get a solution that works for you. x

There is a reason why thy want you to go on biologics. I am very grateful that I got the chance to go on biologics. I don't know if I'd be in remission without them. I hope they'll help you as much as they help others.

So lovely to read these positive vibes on biologics as due to start Dec/Jan when all tests done!

I’m hoping to start Biologics very soon too. I’ve tried baricitinib which for me was very good for about a year but I have immune system issues and ended up with a few too many infections which doesn’t happen to everyone. Baricitinib are in tablet form and are not strictly a biologic but in some ways the nursing staff in rheumy treat them as such. It’s always a bit of a fearful time starting a new treatment but I’m going for it I want a near normal life back without all the pain and inflammation I’m currently experiencing. A chance of remission is always worth it in my book. Good luck and keep us posted.
