Holiday...............

Morning all its nearly 4.30am and yep i am not sleeping very well while on my holiday. My back pain feels off the scale this week. It was a hard trip up here and i have been in pain ever since. Four o'clock is the longest i have been in bed. My index fingers are very sore and my ankles are not feeling very good either.

Any way yesterday we went to Alnwick gardens and the sun decided to shine on us and we had a lovely day. Loads of photos.This one is of the castle and all the daffodils,hubby has said he has never seen so many daffs as we have seen this holiday and this place has thousands of them in different shades of yellow. This has to be one of my fave places to visit. On Tuesday we went to Cragside castle now that is something else altogether. Sadly i lost all the photos i had taken,my friend from home has said he could recover them from my sd card so i have swapped over my cards. I live in hope,but if you ever have a chance to visit this place it is a must see place. If not Secrets of the national trust did a programme on it so you could look it up and it is worth a watch.

Today we are spending it close to home as they say. Our friend is coming over from Newcastle for the day. He is a old Army friend of my hubby they spent a lot of time together for many years so he is coming to Whitley bay. So while they sit chatting it gives me a chance to trawl round the shops for gifts for my family.xxxxx

Beautiful Sylvi, fingers crossed you get some heat today as per weather forecast. Maybe that will help, I'm not sleeping either, think I have a cold coming on, at least I hope it's that and not a flare, on my third cuppa this morning, I have razor blades in my throat. Sorry that you're not feeling so good Sylvi, especially as you are on holiday. The daffodils must have been a sight to see. I hope you get you're photos back. I would live to see Cragside as it was in a detective book I've just read, plus like you said on TV with the NT. In the following book it was based in and around Kielder (spl??) So want to see that too. I hope you feel better soon. X

Hi Sylvi hope you are feeling better. Sounds like your meds are not working very well for you. You don't say what you have been prescribed.

Cragside is a beautiful place. We have friends in Whitley bay so visit often. You live in a beautiful part of the country especially when the sun shines.
