Good morning all you lovely people out there. Hope this blog finds you all relatively pain free. I've had a bad night again, but never mind i've got the weekend to look foward to. This brings me to the reason i'm blogging. I'm going to cornwall with my wonderful hubby for 2weeks on saturday and i was wondering if anyone knows of places to visit while we're down there. We're staying near Polperro. We are planning to go to the Eden project as i've been before and would like to see how it has grown since. I want to go to places that will accomadate my scooter as i don't walk very well. It is a well earned break for my husband as he is my main carer so he needs a break as well.

Anyone whose going on holiday shortly i wish them a lovely time. Sylvi. x

Hi Sylvi

Sorry I don't know that end of the world well we did holiday there years ago when the kids were little we had a motorhome, I have heard the lost gardens are wonderful, heligan.com and also there is a seal sanctuary.co.uk is its web address, hope that helps and have a lovely time.

Hi Sylvi,

A warm welcome to Cornwall for when you arrive! Polperro is a bit cobbly but you should be able to get around OK, Looe is more accessible but not so quaint. Eden is brilliantly accessible as is Heligan with scooter paths clearly marked, I prefer Heligan but then I'm a plant nut. The National Trust properties are also pretty accessible but a bit limited, Lanhydrock, Cotehele, Anthony House will be your nearest. Avoid Plymouth unless you're into concrete shopping centres although the Barbican is perfectly pleasant and has a great marine centre. But most of all enjoy the slow pace of life, pasties and cream teas and hopefully some lovely weather even though all my farming friends are doing rain dances! Have a great time.

I have a scooter for that sort of thing. Have to say though i hate it, BUT it gets me about so i shouldn't really moan about it. I couldn't get out without it sadly.x
