My pip award is being looked at again if it stays the same I am thinking of taking it to the tribunal does the award you have already been given stop while this is happening as I can’t afford to live if it does so I won’t be able to appeal if so.

There is some good advice here:

citizensadvice.org.uk/benef...

The risk, always, of appealing is that you lose what you got originally, but most people win their appeal.

so sorry Tinkerbell, it's so stressful going through all this, all the best for the tribunal, have you looked at the benefits and work website? It explains the points system, bad news is it is £19. Good luck xx

Thank you everyone I have spoken to NRAS and they have put my mind at rest that if I appeal and go to tribunal I don’t loose my money unless they decide against me I have the standard pip for both at the minute I’m just querying the mobility part as I have had full entitalment for 12 years and now they say it’s standard how I got better I would like to know , it would be great if it was true.

So you've asked for Mandatory Reconsideration? My award continued to be paid when I requested MR but in answer to your question when going onward to Tribunal it is not readily available, it's a shame nobody who's gone through it has answered so you know for sure. However I did find this from The NAS site autism.org.uk/

What will my benefit payment be while my reconsideration or appeal is pending?

Pending reconsideration or appeal, your benefit is usually paid at the rate awarded in the original decision. If your reconsideration or appeal is successful a lump sum payment of arrears, totalling the difference between your entitlement and any other benefit payments you have received pending the outcome of the challenge, will be paid. The payment of Employment Support Allowance (ESA) is an exception to this.

Hope this helps.
