Good morning to you all. Yesterday hubby took me to town as i needed some multi-vitamins and i got my walk done while out. Anyway coming home we drove over a bl"""y huge hump in the road and it has jarred my back and it is very sore this morning as it was last night. The pain is located in my lower back do i am hoping it is only a strain and nothing more serious. I have so far be very good by not doing things( now now you lot i can hear you laughing over here) I have amazed myself how good i have been,i have done some pruning maybe no more than five minutes at a time then i have rested and to be honest i can't do much more than that anyway.
I hope you are all as well as you can be and pain free as well.xxx

I knew that would make you laugh darling. Back still sore, but not from the surgery from being in the car yesterday and going over a hump on the round and it jarred my back.xxxx
I'm still trying to get my head round you being good and not doing anything Sylvi, I'm having a struggle. Hope your poor back gets better soon.
Like your geranium photo. I got a bargain yesterday, a pack of six assorted colours for just £2. I wantedsmething to smarten up a tub that was getting scruffy and they did the trick. I lobe geraniums and the odd thing is that as a child I couldn't bear the smell of them, now I just love em.
Blimey Sylvie! Even when you are being good bad stuff still happens. You can't win for losing, can you you poor soul? Be gentle with yourself and let's hope it all calms downs for you soon. Huge hugs
Pacing yourself was and still is the hardest thing.!
When you feel better it's easy to do too much then feel crap and have increased pain after.
I try to do ten minutes then sit down for an hour or so, then do a bit more.
I find I am stiff and sore in the morning then it gets better and as the afternoon wears on the pain increases and increases until I get in bed and take my evening pain killers
Noooo I hate those traffic calming bumps as well as big bumps and dips in old roads that need resurfacing! My hubby drives like he's on an assault course trying to avoid them so he doesn't jolt my knee and hip! I hope your back calms very soon and lets you do a bit more pruning. I'm off to do the same shortly and I always sit every 20 minutes for five mins so my feet and knee don't seize. I do now after doing a mammoth container pot session all afternoon in June! I was wanting to do as much as possible as we'd had several rainy days so went a bit mad. I could hardly get up the house steps when I did all that! 😝 The things we do but they did/do look lovely. I hope you have a good weekend and steady in the garden and the back calms down with rest and gentle movement. xxxx
