Morning to you all. Please bear with me as i am struggling to remain upbeat at the moment. It is very wet here in the UK and my pain levels are very high and i can't get comfortable at all down here. I will end up upstairs on my bed before long.
Hubby is going to bring our bed settee down here so i can lay down and hopefully get more comfy. I am feeling so very sorry for myself though i do try to be cheerful, but being stuck indoors doesn't help as i when it is as wet as it is at the moment i can't even sit in the garden. My back is giving me hell more than usual and my fingers don't like me either. I am having problems i think from my neck as i am struggling to lift things with my left arm even a kettle is a struggle to lift. Hugs to you all and thank you for listening to me moan.xxxxxx

Morning Sylvi. Sorry to hear your still not feeling too great. This blummin rain dosen't help, making the days dull & miserable. Our English weather is unpredictable though!
Hope you're able to move around a bit more freely soon.
Hopefully the sun will be back out again soon, so we can get back into our gardens.
Morning Sylvi. You really are having a bad run at the moment aren't you. And I agree this weather doesn't help either. It's been so windy here today and lashing it down with rain, so miserable. Just hope it brightens up before we go to Cornwall on a few weeks time. I read that you are going there again. Like you, I love it down there (when the sun shines). Hope your pain eases soon and that you will be able to sit out your garden again. And moan away, we all do it. Hugs to you. Smiler
ps love all your flower photos. Photography is my hobby too.
Pps dreading the long journey down there. i'm still recovering from my rpl knee op and other half has just had a hip rpl. What a psir eh! Have to have a couple of stops along the way. Hope you both have a good time.
know just how you feel, I'm trying to move about more as i am putting on weight. New clothes ive bought dont fit so , i'm trying. Just cooking dinner and my siatica ishas gone and is killing me. So i agree the wet weather doesnt help. I'm stuck in also. Hands are so painful and its difficult to type. XXX

Goodmorning Sylvi. It is very hard to be happy when you are in pain. Back pain is just the worst of the worst.
It's been hot and sunny since the May longweekend here. I've been out in my garden enjoying the sunshine for the last couple of weeks....but I need to remember sunscreen!!! My pasty white arms & legs are now sunburnt...yeesh.
Hi Sylvia, you are tough cookie putting up with all that pain. I do sympathise with you. Hope your pain subsides and you have a lovely time in Cornwall. Hugs
Hi suzannedale, Can you tell us where you are then.
I hope it's around Cornwall where sylvie and smiler53 can get a dose of what your encountering. A place so hot and sunny for more than three days, wow! Can't be the UK.
Your posting sounds like the things dreams are made of. It's not just wet here there's a very blowy cold wind on top.
Ah sylvie, pain is the worst. You'll have your holiday soon, so it's something to look forward to.
Sorry to hear that you're feeling so rubbish just now. You deserve a break from all this pain, it has been relentless for you! I really hope it eases of a bit for you so you can enjoy your wee holiday. x
Just wondering, have you ever been referred to social work occupational therapy? They will be able to issue you with items to help you around the house eg a kettle tipper so you don't have to lift it. You can ask your GP to refer you. Or you might even be able to self refer - try phoning your local social work office and ask to be put through to the Duty Worker. Or the other option is to buy it yourself if you can't be bothered going through those channels. At work we use a company called NRS Healthcare to buy all our equipment, they're a really reputable company. Take care. x
If i make a hot drink just for myself i have a machine that heats water so i don't need to use the kettle. It is worth looking into and i will when i get back from my holiday. Thank you darling.xxxxxx
So sorry to hear you are not good, hope pain soon settles. Maybe you should look at a 'Tippe Kettle' my daughter bought me one and it is brilliant. It is very smart looking to. Take care xx
Oh Sylvie I'm so sorry to hear you're still in such pain. Can the medics not find you something to relieve it for you? There must be something, surely? Wishing you all the very best and hope that Cornwall will help to give you a bit of a boost. Huge hugs
Don't worry about moaning, there are lots of lovely people on here ready to listen to you.
The rain and damp weather does nothing for my joints, but today is looking like it's going to be sunny so I'm going to make the most of it and take our dog for a week. He hates rain, and yesterday he went and hid when my oh got his coat out!
Hope you're more comfortable on the bed settee. How long is it before you go on holiday? Hopefully the weather will be better then!
We go away on Monday too. We have a caravan so we're going to Lancashire, the Lake District and Scotland. I'm hoping the weather will improve, but just being away is good. I hope your pain improves and you have a good holiday.
Hi Sylvi, sorry to hear you're struggling so much. When is your spinal surgery? I was also going to suggest a referral to social services, see what they can do for you. Take care.
