Good morning from a wet and windy village. Well as you all might guess i am suffering from the wet and windy weather this morning. My hands particuarlly are very sore.
Now i am now going to tell you that i am going into hospital on the 25th of this month for a bariatric operation for my weight. I am having this on the NHS due to my health. They are al hoping that it will enable me to be more mobile, less pressure on my joints and hopefully i will be able to function better in the long run. The operation i am having done is a sleeve whereby they cut away some of your stomach so you eat less. This is the best op out of the three that they do and it is not as drastic as the bypass and more permament than the band. I won't say that i am not worried as i am,but i am remaining upbeat about it as i can see the long term benefits of having it. I know a lot of people won't approve of me having this and thats fine, but i lose weight, then put it back on and it is not good for my health.
Hugs to all of you and those that are in chronic pain as well.xxxxx
PS,i was very close to these wave when it washed over the wall.xxxx

God morning hope it works out for u hubby had a gastric band and has worked wonders for him he's diabetic and he is now stopped the injections only on tablets now and only on low dose but has helped him so good luck with it and have a good day
The op will benefit your health & is the reason it's been suggested Sylvi so please I don't think anyone will judge you for it, I trust they don't anyhow.
It's lovely here now after a damp start earlier this morning so sending some sunshine your way. x
Sylvi, I hope this works really well for you. Noone has the right to be judgmental and we all have our own ways of dealing with the weight we gain from illness and medication. I hope it all goes well and that you're out and recovering soon.
It's a beautiful start of a sunny day here in BC. It was quite warm yesterday as my husband and I worked in the garden. We ended the day with friends coming over for a BBQ.
I know you didn't make the decision for the operation light heartedly. This operation has been done for many decades so you are quite safe in your doctors hands. I will be thinking of you on the 25th of this month.
Gentle hugs
Sue
Sylvi, you must have considered this operation very carefully and I admire your braveness in going for it,!! If it brings you all the benefits you hope for that can only be a very good thing for you. I wish you well xxx Lynda
Congrats for getting the date set! Having had the Bypass option myself, I know you will face some challenges along the way, but I also know how much better you will feel when the weight starts coming off. If you ever need to talk, just PM me!! Gentle hugs!
