NEW NRAS Group Starting in Torbay!

Dear All

NRAS are pleased to announce there is a NEW group in Torbay for people living with rheumatoid and inflammatory arthritis! Please find dates and speakers for FREE meetings below:

This new group will hold their meetings at: Barton Baptist Church, Happaway Road, Barton, Torquay, TQ2 8HJ (lots of parking and access from the car park to the entrance is level - there is a lift to the upstairs main hall) once every other month on a Tuesday from 7:00-8:30pm

16th May - Guest speaker: Dr Lucie Wilk, Locum Consultant Rheumatologist, Torbay & South Devon NHS Trust will present: ‘Taking a Holistic Management Approach to RA’

18th July - Guest speaker: Dr Kirsten Mackay, Clinical Lead for Rheumatology & Osteoporosis, Torbay & South Devon NHS Trust will present: ‘Biologic Therapies for RA and Psoriatic Arthritis 2017 Update’

19th September - Guest speaker: Alda Gomez, accredited Tai-Chi Teacher and qualified Psychotherapist will present: ‘How body and mind are inter-linked: An Introduction to Tai-Chi for RA’

21st November - Guest speaker 1: Mark Clemence, Physiotherapist Torbay & South Devon NHS Trust will present: ‘Physiotherapy and Rheumatoid Arthritis’. Guest speaker 2: Zoe Weller, Occupational Therapist Torbay & South Devon NHS Trust will present: ‘General Help from the OT Department’ (emphasis on hands and arms)
