When I inject my methotrexate there is always a bubble of it comes back, out of my leg. The nurse said I probably kept on pinching my leg as I inject, but I am not doing this. Does anyone else find this?

Methotrexate injection question
It could be because it's never happened to me & as soon as I've injected I let go of the fold of skin. Maybe try doing it that way next week & see if you still get the bubble because if enough comes out you might not be getting your full dose.
I am letting go as soon as I've put the needle in I'm very careful about that to make sure I am doing it right. So it isn't that. I wondered if it made a difference how quick you plunge the syringe.
Frankiefarr, this has happened to me several times, and it isn't because I am still holding the skin..it just seems to happen sometimes, whether I I am taking my shot in my thigh or my stomach. It doesn't seem to matter how fast I give the injection or not either, because sometimes it is a lot more painful than at other times, so sometimes the needle goes in faster than other times. I know, about as clear as mud, huh?
I let go of my skin after the injection has finished, invariably a tiny blobette of liquid comes out. It's a minuscule amount so I just wipe it away by scooping it up on the end of the metoject pen, then off to the sharps container it goes (I'm conscious of the fact the yellow potion is cyto-toxic).
If you are concerned ask your GP or someone in your Rheumy team.
