I had to have prednisolone which helped at first but only take paracetamol for pain relief now.

Yep, I get this! Thought it was earache/toothache at first...years of jaw clenching which I didn't even realised I did until I got RA...probably hadn't helped. At least I'm aware of it now and try and keep my jaw relaxed...easier said than done sometimes though!! It's very common although...lots of posts on here about it if you fancy looking. Good luck and hope it improves 😊

My jaw used to be quite bad. I'd wake up in the morning and it would be "stuck" in place and would have a massive crack when I got it to move. I've always ground my teeth at night and when I mentioned the pain to my dentist he recommended a nighttime mouth guard to protect my teeth. Once I started wearing it (on my bottom teeth because an upper one made me gag) the pain in my jaw has reduced and it doesn't get stuck in the morning anymore.

I have this and it's bloody painful!!!! mine locks and I can't open my mouth wide enough to eat sometimes (hasn't helped my waistline tho 😂).

I normally take ibuprofen and soldier through it. but Ive gotta say since starting the meds I've not had a flare x (and no ra that was not a challenge 😚)
