Hi. being a male and not one to complain. So if I may through this medium.Why does RA strike more in one Place...things started in different parts of my bodyunderstand. And with the right medication have it under control. So if I have flare up. IT picks on the same joint..

No idea. Mine started in right shoulder and elbow and then progressed to left shoulder. And luckily stopped! I am under control too, just about. But had a flare a few weeks ago and in shoulder and elbow!! I suppose we should count ourselves lucky it hasn't wandered off to other places 😏

I know what you mean & often wondered myself. Despite looking for the answer I've not found anything to properly explain why but it was my feet that started my journey & what I first went to my GP about & she did the bloods to confirm RD. Since then they've always been my weak spot & precursor to a flare. I'm considered reasonably well controlled yet my feet are still my biggest bug bear.

It was always my left knee it attacked and that was where it first started many years ago but since I had it replaced last year it is out of the equation at the moment and now seem to get aches anywhere it feels like. Farm

Hi, It was my neck that was effected initially, although now recognise I'd been having flares from a much younger age. I'd pushed a wheelchair up a hill and my neck started from there and they saw this as an injury. My rheumatologist stated that when I flare, it is always likely to gravitate to the neck first and I have to say it does. Hope this helps. Take care. Candy

Mines affected every joint in my body and my blood and my eyes and my lungs and my heart ....it hasn't got my kidneys or liver yet it seems but it probably will :/
