Bursitis
hi lucy 1111 i have calcified tendanopathy and bursitus in both shoulders and my arms i have had the steroid shot they say it will last for 6 months or more with me it was 2 weeks .i use a tens machine this gives me some pain relief sorry your in pain sending softest hugs xx
I had no relief not even from the local they put in and said I would get a least 3 hours of no pain. That was in my right shoulder I was suppose to get one in my left shoulder but I didn't see the point in wasting another $110
hi lucy i understand your flustration i live in the uk and i get benafits so i get medication and treatment free i am so sorry you have so much pain if i can help in any way just to talk please contact me xxx
i used to have terrible pain in my shoulders and wrists for ra. sometimes the injections worked wonderfully and sometimes not. i discovered that some doctors just don't know where to place the injection - although they say they do. one doctor used an ultrasound machine and i had no relief at all -- at the time i felt he missed the correct spot. i've changed doctors. i now have a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon who gives injections of this sort on a daily basis to athletes and those with ra. have you thought of doing some research and trying another doctor (sports medicine rather than just a pain management specialist (who i understand are largely anesthesiologists) with good on-line reviews) the next time you can have an injection? you may have to wait a bit (i was told i had to wait at least 6 weeks if an injection fails; others have said several months). it might be worth a try. hope you find some relief soon!
Thank you
