I had no relief not even from the local they put in and said I would get a least 3 hours of no pain. That was in my right shoulder I was suppose to get one in my left shoulder but I didn't see the point in wasting another $110

I am just tired of being in pain. I'm off to have another ultra sound Friday of the shoulders and breast just to make sure there is nothing else going on

i used to have terrible pain in my shoulders and wrists for ra. sometimes the injections worked wonderfully and sometimes not. i discovered that some doctors just don't know where to place the injection - although they say they do. one doctor used an ultrasound machine and i had no relief at all -- at the time i felt he missed the correct spot. i've changed doctors. i now have a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon who gives injections of this sort on a daily basis to athletes and those with ra. have you thought of doing some research and trying another doctor (sports medicine rather than just a pain management specialist (who i understand are largely anesthesiologists) with good on-line reviews) the next time you can have an injection? you may have to wait a bit (i was told i had to wait at least 6 weeks if an injection fails; others have said several months). it might be worth a try. hope you find some relief soon!
