Hello guys im new: Totaly new at this still waiting for... - NRAS
Hello guys im new
Welcome. Sorry to hear your diagnosis but do ask your GP if he/she can prescribe something for you whilst you're waiting for your first Rheumatology appointment. Mine prescribed an NSAID (plus a ppi to protect my tum, mine was omeprazole) & pain relief which eased my symptoms somewhat until I was formally diagnosed & alternatives were given once I'd started treatment. Until then you could try either hot or warm compresses to your most sore joints & try to rest as much as you can. Maybe a read through the NRAS site if you haven't already will prepare you for your first Rheumy appointment & likely treatments nras.org.uk.
If there's anything we can help with do ask, we've lots of info to share.
woo hoo , are you a musician too , we play pavan at band sometimes , pachelbells cannon makes the hairs stand up on my arms I just.love it , but our guitar player hates it he says his part is soooo boaring , I get the fancy pantsy bit though ha ha
My Dr gave me steroids and calcium tablets (can't have NSAIDs, asthmatic). I hope that your appointment comes through soon. Oh and welcome.
Very best of luck, keep us posted on your journey.
Welcome to the gang. Its good to chat and at least you get some sound advice. I think its good to seek medical advice too. Great to see your a musician ?
Hi and welcome, you'll find it a friendly place to get good advice and support. Its not perhaps the ideal reason for making new friends but it definitely helps with not feeling alone. Good luck
Welcome to the party were all a great friendly bunch here xxx
Welcome & Hello! The nights for me are the worst time...so when everyone's asleep this is when I read all of the comments. It makes me feel less lonely and let's me know I'm not in this by myself.
Go to You Tube and check out Clint Paddison. He healed himself and is now showing others the way. I started the Paddison Program four weeks ago today and am now almost pain free. My inflammation and swelling is lessening, sleep has improved along with general wellbeing. My energy level was 2/10 when I started. This weekend it was 9.
Leaky gut syndrome is at the bottom of all this and Clint's diet shows how to heal it step by step.
One reason people are not being helped by nutrition is they are not sure what to do and try here and there this and that. This man is has a science background and did thousands of hours of research to figure out his own recovery.
I have not taken one pain pill since I became disabled with this in January. I had an 80m Depo Medrol shot 18 April which proved not only worthless but added to my suffering. My medical provider said drugs would help me and in the same breath agreed they are toxic. If I had looked up the effects of prednisone drugs I wouldn't have submitted that shot. Silly me. Never again. I haven't heard of anyone being healed on a drug. Look up on You Tube Dr John McDougall and rheumatoid. He is an MD and states that very thing.
