I have a (nerve/tendon) on top of my middle and ring finger of my left hand that slides to the left of my knuckles and pops out in front when i close my fist and when i try to open it up my hand locks up and has trouble opening back up. Im a guitar player and it hurts to play. What is this?

Hi Lilynette

Personally I would say you need to see a doctor, and the sooner you get it looked at, the sooner they can do something for you.

For what it's worth, it doesn't sound like an inflammatory arthritis. Be glad.

And go see your doctor. 😉

Could be trigger finger? You need a diagnosis anyway! Very awkward if you are using your fingers to play the guitar.
