Hi everyone, I’m not sure whether the pain I’m feeling is from RA or something else. The pain in my fingers which has been confirmed as RA is now up the back of my left hand, wrist, up my arm and into my elbow and beyond. I was helping with my grandchildren at the weekend and was unable to pick up the one year old. Today it is painful just to pick up a glass of water! I am also getting pins and needles in my fingers. Has anyone any ideas?

Hand and Arm Pain
Sounds familiar nana, the bugger does like to move around in me. It’s so frustrating every time you try to do something normal. Could ring docs or advice line I guess but you already know that 😊Hope you get adequate pain relief, take care x
Thanks for your reply. I’ve been on quinoric since my diagnosis a few months ago but doesn’t seem to be helping. I can’t take anti inflammatories as I am on anticoagulants . My follow up appointment is in October, five months since initial diagnosis, so I’m trying to hang on until then and see what rheumy says.
Could try advice line or email nana if it worsens; they re pretty good if you’re in pain, I got earlier appt once. Are you allowed steroid shots? Good luck with it x
No can’t have steroid shots because of the anticoagulants. I am away next weekend in Scotland won’t be doing much so I’ll see how it is when I get back.
That’s a shame but must be others like you: hope they find you something. Have a lovely time in Scotland, well as much as you can 😉x
