So sorry to hear that.broke my heart when I had to give up work.I hate it. Hardly see anyone n feel cut off.in small village with no amenities. Hope yours is a better outlook. These horrible disease suck
Oh Im sorry you are not enjoying your retirement I am looking forward to it because i have suffered so much stress and anxiety worrying whether I will be well enough to go to work or not that my RA was flaring constantly and my emotional health was very fragile to say the least. I more or less 'broke' and couldn't do it anymore last Oct, once I had made th decision to not go back to work, the stress levels started to drop. I have been quite poorly since last Oct but making th decision not to return because I can't manage it any more has helped me get though it. I believe we should make the choices we need to make our life happier, we are only here once and need to make th most of it. Try and think what would make you happy within the confines of your health and do it! mine was stop working, money doesn't solve everything and I would rather be happy and have less to live on? even if I am awake most of the night in pain, I dont stress because I can sleep as soon it subsides because I dont have to go to work I really hope you can think of something to make your life happier? chin up and start thinking about what you can change if possible?

Hello yotelecom, Welcome to the site. We all care and share. So it's a good place to do the same. I was diagnosed in 2009 and had to stop working there and then. Never looked back. I liked my job a lot, but I like not doing it a lot more now. Cant imagine how I could fit work into my life. All the very best.
Hi yotelcom, I'm 63 and just completed retiring on ill-health. Note pension should not be affected if over 60.
Hi, I have just started on the ill health retirement, red tape, problems and all the stress that goes with it. I am 60 now I was hoping to go part time but the way I am feeling at the moment I think I need to just cut the cord and depart while I can still enjoy myself.
Hope you get what you want. Good Luck.
