Hi guys, I'm Antony, I am 42 now, I haven't posted for a while now, I have RA and fibro and been on enbrel for 6 years now
This is not to offend or gloat to people ย but wanted to share my story with you guys as I have received so much good info from you all!
Basically my time with a massive company parted last August suddenly when after many battles and struggles with team leaders, managers and the dreaded HR ( heart removed) they actually realised I couldn't do my job! Really I was saying that for years!!
I was called in on myย week off on a weds and told Friday is your last day! We will pay you your notice as they didn't think was right to make me work it and I was ย granted a partial ill health retirement pension of which I could take it all as a lump sum!, which I did!
Was very generous to say the least, but I was now out of work! I had enough wages to tie me over so I took some time out, had a little think and decided to retrain as a canine hydrotherapist. My dog goes swimming as has hip dysplasia so I know the benefits of warm water and thought it would be beneficial for me too, like it is for him!
Anyway enough babbling on, I took a very intensive course all passed etc and found a unit to rent, found a company who install canine pools, decorated, bath/ shower installed and all that, and opened very scarily in October!
Was slow to start, but I can relate to the dogs in the warm water, and I have had no flares since opening and my disease is in remission and I now own my own business!
Yes I do worry about my condition, but If anything happens to me in the future at least I can pay someone else and I will still have an income coming in!
So 6 months in I am now making a profit and feel as good as I have in ten years, so I believe there is hope for all of us, it was just handed to me when I didn't expect it to!
Sorry if it seems like I am gloating but I'm still very happy and excited by it all, I don't mean to offend anybody!
Thanks guys for all the support in the past!
