I'm not very experienced in arthritis drugs but I know certain drugs can affect your vision - the rheumatologist told me that when she prescribed the hydroxychloroquine that I'm taking at the moment.
If I were you I would make an appointment with an optician ( that is what I was told to do) take a list of any drugs you are taking and see what he / she says. It might just be that your eyes are really dry, it might be something more serious but you need to see an optician and find out for sure.
It is very important to look after your eyes when you are being treated for RA
if this is something new, then maybe you should see your doctor.
Hi,
It could be a med side effect or a dry eye issue either way I would speak to my doctor or rheumatoidologist to find an answer.
All the best

Hello I have suffered with my eyes for years now my sight appears to change as the RA flares and I get terrible fatigue, my eye balls actually feel very warm and dry, I have been on various drops and creams to help but always some problem exists. Some treatments do effect your eyes as mentioned above. Natural light seems to help and having the sun visor down on the car. Head aches ! Well mine got really bad and ringing in my head when I started humira and embrel back in 2013, due to complications I had to stop and go onto rituximab infusions which has not helped. This RA thing is horrible and I find all I can do is stay calm and enjoy the nice things in life like family and hobbies. I've been fighting since 2002 but now it's time to change my life, ask for help and think about doing less, rest when you need to not when normal life says you should !
I have the same problem. I have been treated for dry eyes for yrs. Little did I know it would be one of the first symptoms of Rhupus and sicca syndrome.
I use Restasis in my eyes twice a day and my opthamologist put plugs in my lower inner tear ducts. That has helped a lot.
