Steroids injection. Question for the ladies.

Hi there. Sorry to ask. I had a steroid injection on 3rd July as couldn't cope with pain. Although to be honest it did nothing to help. But my question is. I haven't had a period since beginning of June!! Had steroid injections before a about 5 years ago but never had this before is it normal? Thanks. Hope u all have a painful day.

I found some information about steroid injections and their effect on menstruation. Most of the reports I found talked about prolonging it though. I have put a link to the ARUK information below for you:

I've not had this problem but stress can affect periods, as can other illnesses. Maybe an obvious question but any chance you could be pregnant?

I'm sorry the steroid shot didn't give much relief. I have found my period started sooner after an injection. Or I had two a month ... a small breakthrough thing but it could be it has affected you and hope you are soon back on track but your doc would advise of course.

I have been on steriod tabs for 6mths aswell as mxt since this time ive only had 2 periods. Ive been to gp and had all the test drff not pregnant had hormone testing, internals you name it ive had it everything come back normal the only thing thats different is these meds. I took myself off steroids for a few weeks and got a period. Now found out when iam on high doses i wont get a period currently trying a low dose but nothings happened yet. One of the side effects of steriods is loss of menstral cycle.

I DO THINK IT CAN UPSET YOUR SYSTEM, I ALWAYS STARTED A PERIOD THE DAY AFTER

MY INJECTION. WHETHER I WAS DUE OR NOT. HOPE THAT HELPS.
