I think I might have shown myself up though😔as I kept getting upset and when she was asking questions I had put down on the form that I have a car on Motobility she asked me if I had a blue badge when I said yes she then said aww well that's 50 meters from space to shop does that mean I won't get Motobility???😕

It's very hard to say, I would suggest you make a note of what you can remember about today and questions like this so you don't forget. Once you get your decision letter, if you don't agree with it, make an appointment to see the local Citizens Advice Bureau and let them help you through the rest of the process. They will know if that kind of question was a trick and can help you challenge the decision. Please try not to worry because there are people who will help you.

If it comes to it, one other thing to know is that the Motability organisation has come up with a very helpful plan for people who have to give up the car when they move from DLA to PIP. It was written up in the latest magazine, at the front, and is also on the website.

Good luck, I hope it went well for you, fingers gently crossed. We shouldn't have to get so stressed about these sort of things. I feel we are entitled to receive this benefit. I am sure all would agree we would rather NOT have the pain and suffering also the side effects of the medications that comes with RA/RD.

Again good luck, take care and try not to worry too much, stress doesn't help with the pain.

It sounds as though it went ok Denise. I read the "50 metres" as a positive. She's aware you struggle as you have a Motability car & a Blue Badge so you can only hope that the "between 20 & 50 metres·" option has been accepted & you receive enough points elsewhere in the moving around section to be awarded the enhanced rate & keep your car. No assurances I'm afraid, that's impossible to predict but if you thought all your struggles were accepted, she listened properly & had medical evidence to support tit's looking positive. Can you remember what was said at the end, did she say how long it may be until your next assessment? x

Thanks Hun no she never mentioned it just opened the door for me she was really nice though she said I had filled the form out really good and precise so no she didn't indicate anything like that Hun I'm just waiting on reply she did say it could take 6-8 weeks but that's the longest my award isn't due to finish until August xx

I'm not familiar with how it goes when changing from DLA but I hope you've not too long to wait. x

I had an indefinite award on DLA. Think I'm due to move onto PIP from October. I'm due to change my car in November & a bit worried about getting one in case they take it off me. Anyone in same situation? Do I just go ahead & order new car or swap to getting the payment & put it towards buying a car? Confused 😁

I don't have experience personally Rachel but this link from Motability may help motability.co.uk/understand.... I really hope you receive what you deserve despite the changes.
