Injection day

Finally had my first injection of tocilizumab last Tuesday. 10 min demonstration then in it goes. Tuesday will from now on be injection day. So here I am on another Tuesday hoping it starts working soon where all the other drugs have failed.

Feeling hopeful after a year of steroids I get some relief.

Hi Rachel, glad you have started. If its like the monthly infusion i think you should get good results. I find out thursday when i start injections . Please let me know if you noticed any side affects. Xx Alison

Hi Alison. Not noticed any side effects yet. Hopefully it will work soon. Different syringe system than I've used before but no stinging that I got from humira & enbrenel.

Hope you get on injections soon. I was officially the 1st one to get it from my hospital. Only issue is that no home delivery as yet so have to collect from hospital every 2 months but a small inconvenience.

So glad to hear that there was no stinging like with humira as that was really painfull for me, I am on the infusions at the moment but I would like to go onto injections as I lose a day off work by the time I travel to hospital and wait to be hooked up.

Good luck I had my first toci infusion two weeks ago - nothing yet but fingers crossed x
