P.I.P Assesment
That's great news Patrice. Makes you wonder though if they can let you know they've received your application & remind you of your assessment date by text why can't they let you know how much longer you can expect to wait if you've waited over a certain length of time? It's a good idea to use this time to make sure the info you sent is up to date, any reports & prescription lists haven't been added to or new diagnoses made. Any new information or reports can be copied & given to the assessor to send to the DWP.
Don't forget to let us know how it goes.
8 months is such a long time! Glad you have finally got a date. I will be reassessed for DLA this year and I'm absolutely dreading it! I suspect I will loose my Motability car. Hope match 9th goes well. Let us know

Thankyou you are so right nomoreheels they bombard me with text to remind me of a hospital appointment .
thankyou kiki i really hope you don't loose your mobilty car good luck for when you have your assessment .
i will post on here the outcome of my assessment
Know how you are feeling kiki with reassessment looming and the prospect of losing the car. I' in the same boat. I know my care needs have increased and I probably should get reassessed now, but I dare not in case they decide my mobility isn't bad enough, so I'm just waiting it out until I have to be reassessed.
Are you able to go to the Scottish Parliament NRAS meet on Thursday earthwitch? The more our voice is heard about the Mobility component of PIP, specifically the 20 metre ruling, the better. I hope by the time everyone who is on DLA now has their reassessment it will have changed to be more realistic.
Oh no poor you, I can understand your logic there. I suppose I could do without a car. I can move my doctors to one near my house but I'm quite rural and the buses here are very expensive. But my rheumatologist is 90 miles away ( I used to live there) and I would have to get hubby to have a day off work without pay everytime I had to go or go down the night before on the train and stay in a hotel which would be expensive. It's unfair we are being put in this situation. I was awarded DLA in 1995 for life and thought it meant life. My fingers are crossed for you honey x x
