RA awareness
Just watched this allanah. I agree, what an amazing young woman. I would've loved to have heard her speak though. She must have so much passion in her voice, don't you think? Must have taken her an age to write all that, I know it would me & it wouldn't have been so neat!
Amazing beautiful brave young lady...I cried too...A... i thought it was very touching and lovely how she expressed her illness by writing each message out on a note...it made me want to read it over again...I looked at her beautiful but sad eyes...very young and a very long journey ahead but a very positive outlook to live in Hope...
Hi
Just watched this too, have tears in my eyes as I type!
What a fantastic and brave thing to do. Young people coming forward like this is exactly what is needed to help raise awareness. I actually thought that by not speaking, just pointing to the HOPE message, it made it even more moving........well done to her x
Brave Girl. Just shared it on my FB page x
That where i first saw it. wonderful stuff x
I've just looked again and read some of the comments. Mostly good but there's always a few isn't there!! .....don't listen to the docs, eat this instead and you will be cured!!
It was actually done a year ago, and she did an update a few months ago where she was on running track having just run a mile:-)) in the comments she says she is in remission........so some good news there x
ye the usual then lol. I am so glad if she is in remission but it still says how it really feels doesn't it i think. And good that a young person took the time to do it , too often RA is clumped with it being wear and tear so you must be old. Awareness week should be good, hope it reaches a lot of people!
I have shared it on my fb wall. Wonder if anyone of my friends will actually look at it. I put it up as she explains it all so well. A real insight into our disease. Sadly last year when I posted for RA awareness week, not one comment I still can't get people to understand what this disease is like for us!
i put up the poster in our local chemist and got apparently loads of discussion in with them, so even a little helps! I made my daughter and hubby see it as i think they need reminding from time to time, especially teenage daughter who is in complete denial of my illness at the moment, think its hit her a bit now i cant do as much as i used to and it isnt gonna go away!
