So here we go, what are we all doing? I have seen loads going on in the NRAS site. A big double decker bus in Northumberland street Newcastle, signing the e petition , and I managed to get my local chemist smack in the middle of our town to put up a poster in their main window.
now to continue packing....3 days lol

I have sent the email received today from NRAS to all my family, friends and ex colleagues for them to sign the e-petition. They go as far as Australia plus Europe.
Ha ha your 56 comment made me laugh Allanah. Now really you shouldn't be so competitive!!
I've just done same as Georje re address list and also sent off the campaigning thing via the link Jamie gives to my MP and MSP. No one will put my posters up - maybe they think there will be too many hypochondriacs coming in to GP surgeries with pains here, there and everywhere? Anyway I can't afford to spend anymore on printing ink but I did try at least!
Ah its my competitive streak you see! Rain, rain go away and leave Allanah alone at Glastonbury - sort of rhymes a little? Anyway I think the sun will always shine wherever you are Allanah. Xx
lol, well i would be worth it cos there are 300,00 people there! and at all the other festivals too, so they maybe first feel their symptoms whilst doing the strenuous stuff , and Glasto the age group is from birth, yeah they have babies there! and i have met 90 year olds!!!!! And it would raise awareness to all the young people too as RA awareness want to do.
i am disappointed that RA week hasn't seem to have been given any publicity on the radio or the media. I had hoped to have had some articles somewhere but it is early in the week so I will keep hoping
I second that Ruth & Allanah!
Well done and many thanks to all for promoting RA Awareness week in their own way
ye seconded, now just need a final yes lol xxx good luck with the week x
Hi magglen, we are trying daily to get national press for the week and have had radio coverage and something in the daily express yesterday express.co.uk/life-style/he...
Please keep an eye on our progress and hopefully we will have other successes in the press. Unfortunately with Wimbledon and Glastonbury both going on, we have our work cut out this week!
Thanks all for supporting the week and doing what you can in your community to raise awareness.
Ruth, Just got an idea!! Education and awareness are lacking here in the US also...Maybe we could correlate our efforts into Awareness Week between our two countries for next year. I would be glad to work with the Arthritis Foundation year to arrange the same week with you and the NRAS there.
What do you think? I think if only each of us on this site would promote awareness in some way in their respective communities, well, seems like we would be connecting with thousands! There are folks here from Australia, France, Scotland, Ireland, England, America, etc. We would naturally call it " WORLD ARTHRITIS AWARENESS WEEK". Would love to help make this happen! Loret xxx
