Know exactly what you mean, I used to love having a bath, did used to help soaking. Not any more, even a little pleasure like that has gone now, carn't get in and sure as hell couldn't get out. A shower is just not the same. Nobody else, other than another sufferer has a clue what hell we go through (especially the other half lol). xx

Get yourself a bath buddy fantastic..... don't panic its not a new man its a blow up lift/bath seat helps you get in and out and can be deflated and put away. Ebay sell second hand ones can be pricey but worth it. You cant beat a bath when you have pains. xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Lol made me laugh that JustSandra because when you type in bath buddy on ebay that's what you get an inflatable man/woman that hugs you in the bath ... see not impossible lol. xxx

Yay I did it!!!!

I opted for Sylvi's splash slide entrance ... then having had a nice relax and soothed my aches n pains, realised she didn't tell us her exit plan lol. Well all I can say is that any good I did by the soak, was undone by getting out ha ha! I definitely could have done with your bath buddy Bazzy although I think the children would have been in hysterics at the site of it.

No, I do feel better for it really. All jimjammed up and ready for Call the Midwife. Have a nice Sunday evening all Rx

I have an electric seat to get me in and out of the bath. I was given the chair through the occupational therapist who visited me to find out what aides would assist me with my day to day living after I came out of hospital following an operation on my arm I enjoy my bath but it is a big event still as I have COPD as well as RA so after I get out of the bath get myself dried and dressed I am exhausted and need a nap to recover. I should bathe more than I do but it is such a challenge for me even with the seat.

I really miss soaking in the bath... even if I was able to get in I wouldn't manage to get out again. I used a rechargeable bath seat for a while, which helped but wasn't quite the same. It made it impossible to clean the bath afterwards, and I found I was sharing with all types of insects which wasn't very hygienic or relaxing. I eventually was awarded a grant to change my bathroom into a wetroom.

Haha can't beat a good moan hey? Thanks for all your messages. I'm going to treat myself to a jacuzzi at some point. I'm okay with that! :-) xx
