Hi Ords, first thing don't worry they'll be assessing everyone over the next couple of years and even people who have lifetime awards will be assessed too. I've had mine assessed twice in the last few year (at my request and it's been increased) so don't assume you'll lose it.

Get yourself to a welfare advice centre such as CAB for help filling in the forms, also, speak to your doctor/OT/Consultant and enlist their support. Gather any evidence you have such as copies of letters sent to your GP (speak to the consultants secretary and ask her for a copy of these), send copies in with the application form (keep original letters) and give as many examples as possible as to how the condition affects your daily life.

Good luck, I'll keep an eye out for your updates.

I'd wouldn't say anything until you need to, unless your given a medical questionnaire then you must be honest.

I sympathise with your irritation over filling out DLA forms. These questions have to be answered in a certain way. Citizens advice are usually ok at this I believe. The worst scenario must be stated on the forms even if some days you ar feeling better. Your consultant will back you up or maybe your GP.

Best of Luck.

Ords, they usually send the reclaim forms out about 6mth before a claim is due to end. If you still have the original award letter it should say on there when it was awarded from and to.

Sadly these forms are hard work and taking your time is always advised. I filled my sisters in for her and it took 4 evenings (I worked FT then) and lots of tears but it was worth it when she got an indefinite award. xx
