12 MONTHS - Hooray 😀

Well it’s 12 months today since I quit the demon nicotine after over 50 years. I am so pleased with myself & hope that anyone just starting this journey can realise their dream as I have. I did wonder whether this pandemic would tempt me back but thankfully it hasn’t !

So good luck to all the new quitters - it can be done, just try & stay focused on your goal - it is so worth it 👍

Congrats to you too! Isn’t it amazing how good you feel! Hope you & your family are keeping well.

Is Canada COVID free yet? We are still in it’s grip although there is a vast improvement - unfortunately there are some really selfish ignorant people in this country who think the rules don’t apply to them! That’s it I’ve had my moan 😱🌈

Glad to hear that you are doing well. No we aren't COVID free yet. Ontario and Quebec were hit the hardest. However we are doing better each day. It is like a whole new way of life. We are one of the smaller towns with 35,000 people. We were lucky and had 57 cases, all recovered. The US is really bad now. I think our borders will stay closed for a while yet. Stay safe

Do you have Facebook Ann? If so and you want to we could connect on there.

Fantastic. Welcome to the gang. Roisin will fluff up the cushions in her penthouse and I'll pop over the North Channel with some chilled bubbly! That line you drew on the ground a year ago has well and truly been left far, far behind. That is a long year ago and you are so far from where you were then. That was such a positive decision you made about the only life you will ever have and "Quitting" has such negative connotations... like a "quitter" in a race or someone who "quits" because they don't have the strength to continue. I would suggest people should say things like "I decided I wasn't a smoker any more." It gives you the power and strength and control! Which you obviously have in spadefuls!

You ditched a toxic, parasitic leech who posed as a "friend". Smoking was NEVER your friend. But a year ago you truly realised that and did something about it before it was too late. You decided not to smoke any more. And now... you know it was the totally correct thing to have done with the only life you will ever have. It is only a wee, simple decision and a line to step over. Bingo.

Really brilliant. Well done. Richer and Healthier... what is not to like? You know your body smells better too and your breath and clothes wont be rank. Love it!
