Well I made 11 months on the 13th, alot of good feelings, but still struggling with depression. Funny I have had more desire for a cig lately, almost miss them. I have to change my mind set. Staying strong. Again thanks for all the great support.

11 months quit
I know the feeling - it seems that the 10/11 month mark is the killer (and that just before the 1 year milestone). Nic is a son of a beep!!
But....you have made it this far why give all that up for 8 minutes of what i can only assume will be pure regret!!!!
Advice i received from someone on this amazing community is that, if you light up now and give into the urge you will need to do this quit all over again and do you really want to go down that road??? I dont!! It was not fun!
I am actually considering going back onto Champix for a month to see if it helps the cravings?
As for the depression, did you suffer from it before quitting - to me it seems that one of the side effect of quitting is mild depression/lack of joy?
Since we are in the same quitting time frame about - i thought you would be the best to answer that question??
Good luck and stay strong!!
Thanks for the encouraging words. Yes I have dealt with the depression in the past, the smoking helped mask it. Then bam I went to the doctor 6 times in the first 3 months. Doing much better, I do use medication for depression and anxiety. Have noticed some joy in the little things, however being tired seems to plague me. Stay strong.
Great to hear from you Mphunte and you too TLJ01 - not long until both of ye will be joining us in the Penthouse, well done!
Yeah, the out of the blue cravings are quite normal at this stage, see pinned post I done up when they sprang up on me worth a read if not already done so:

When we stop smoking we tend to blame every aliment we come across is due to stopping when in fact we could have these feelings even if we were never smokers, well I did anyway!! I got in the mindset that non smokers go through extreme tiredness, sadness, anxiety etc.... too. I would increase my water intake, eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and get out in the fresh daily for 15 to 30 minutes.
Stay strong
